About Opened Hands (8)
No. Religion is not equivalent to salvation. Thus, our main affiliation is with the person
of Jesus-Christ who alone can save. His name and love alone we strive to share with the
world by being His hands and heart on earth. We however collaborate with other
organizations to help each other reach a common goal.
How: In short, Acts 2:44-45 was the foundational reason we decided to form Opened
Hands Inc.. The believers were putting their possessions together and sharing them
according to everyone’s needs, and the Bible says that no one was lacking anything. That
is how we decided, despite our own challenges, to put our talents and resources together
to fill the needs of others. We know that: two is better than one. “How good and how
pleasant it is For brothers to live together in unity! For the LORD commanded the blessing
there—life forever.”
Why: God has put in our hearts to use a platform to share what we have been doing in the
shadows to get more support, reach out to nations and not just limit ourselves to our
community.
We strive to be transparent in all we do to mainly serve two purpose:
- To show supporters their financial donation is put to great use in hopes they will continue
to support according to their heart’s desire. You can visit our how are your donations used? page where you will
see some of the things we were able to accomplish because of your faithful support. - We will also constantly update our Social Media pages to keep our supporters up to date.
Opened Hands Inc. has been around since March 2021. However, we have been doing
the work for over 5 years. It has been a financial burden as we have been doing this work
out of our own pockets. God has put in our hearts to use a platform to share what we have
been doing in the shadows to get more support and reach out to the nations and not just
limit ourselves to our community.
Short term:
Reach as many people in need as we can. Increase our volunteer database to have enough
people available to assist with the urgent needs we have. Having at least 20 volunteers by
the end of the year is a good place to start.
Long term:
To build a strong network of committed and like-minded compassionate teams locally
and internationally.
It will be challenging to pinpoint our most urgent needs as they are ever changing. I will
encourage you to however look at our Current needs page to see what we do and how you can
support our mission.
Believe it or not but your prayers will make the greatest difference as it will continue to
sustain and help us continue our mission.
We would love to say that because we are the heart and hands of Jesus and we strive to do
His work and share His love would be enough. However, it can’t be. We strive to be as
transparent as possible and keep ourselves accountable to our faithful supporters in hope
that the work we do via your donations will speak for itself. Please visit our how are your donations used? page where you will see some of the things we were able to accomplish because of your
faithful support.

General Questions (12)
Depending on the area you choose to offer your services, training might be required. Be
rest assured, you shall not be put in a position without proper training and understanding
of our expectations.
No. However, that is an opportunity we’d like to offer volunteers in the future. The
expectation is that volunteers will learn about the US culture (if not already) but also see
that where you are, whether in a well-developed or underdeveloped country, there is
always a need. The only difference is how big and urgent is that need?
Yes, we do. The requirement depends on the volunteer opportunity you are interested in.
However, each volunteer must be of age 18 or older or have parental/guardian approval if
under the age of 18.
No. Unfortunately, the bulk of our funding is currently distributed where the need is
urgent. However, that is an opportunity we are constantly assessing in hope to expand in
that area and reach out to other nations.
There are many ways you can help. You can donate to financially support projects and/or
you can volunteer and participate in projects like visiting the elderly or being a mentor.
You can go to our home page and click the red bar on the top right corner of the page that
says “Donate today” to make your donation. You can make your donation using PayPal
or with a Debit or Credit Card.
We apologize for that. The needs are limitless, and we certainly cannot name them all.
Please reach out to us and share how we can assist you. Someone will reach out with an
answer as soon as possible. In the meantime you can fill out the form to join our
volunteer list by clicking here
Your donations support local and international projects which mentor and guide orphans,
widows, seniors, and families in crisis.
You can partner with us and share your expertise, talents, skills, and knowledge to help
those who are in a crisis and need our help.
We are the hands and heart of Jesus and He calls us to help and serve our community and
others. Whether you believe in Jesus-Christ or not, providing a helping hand to those in
need never goes in vain.
It is not routinely done but if requested, one can be given.
In volunteering, you give some of your time and effort to the community without any
compensation of any kind. Your reward is our sincere gratitude and hopefully a heart full
of joy for helping others. When we have available funds, we might be able to give a
stipend to our volunteers
